Bethany

~means house of song.

Mentioned in Matt. 21:17 Bethany is a town that Jesus stays in overnight!

Chloe

~means green herb in Greek.

1 Cor. 1:11 Chloe mentioned in reference to her household and apparent quarrels that are happening in her house.

Dinah

~means judgment in Hebrew.

Mentioned in Gen. 30:21 Leah (Jacob's wife's servant who bears him children. Who said the Bible is boring?) gives birth to a daughter and names her Dinah!

~means secret or hidden.

Esther is an orphan who was raised by her uncle. She becomes a queen and is used by God to save her people. Her character exemplified patience and respect.

Eve

means living in Hebrew.

Eve mentioned throughout the Bible. Her story is in Genesis. She is the mother of all. Eve screwed up but so do I so, no judgment here.

Eden

~means pleasure or delight in Hebrew.

Genesis 2: 8 This is the perfect Garden that God created for Adam!

Grace

~ means blessing in Latin.

If you want a good laugh read 1 Samuel 1:8 and let me know how Hannah didn't deck her husband. God hears Hannah and blesses her with Samuel. Hannah gives Samuel back to God and leaves him with Eli, the priest. Samuel becomes a mighty prophet for God. Way to go momma! I give you creds.

~ means expectations.

Again, another characteristic of a Christians' life. (or it should be!)
